This Thursday is Yarn and Craft at 2Bluebirds.
9.30 to 12 at $26 materials included. Places still available.

The cosy cold weather still has me buried in my yarn stash wherever possible, and that includes any chance to be a Passenger Princess on a road trip so I can chat and crochet. I have tested out a few different styles of yarn holder and I love them all. I have attached yarn holders to my handbag, craft bag, dashboard, wrist, belt, and hung from a lamp while I watch TV.

But for each project, each type of yarn, there are different styles. Large, small, multi thread, flat folding, teeniest tiny ones, leather, braided, clips hooks and one with a magnet clasp. This week you have all the options to make your own. All components of the base disk and centre post are pre cut and holes drilled, you choose to decoupage or paint the disk for the base, chose your hardware components from a variety of clips, and choose a braid, ribbon or leather for the wrist strap.

NEW! Yarn and Craft classes at 2 Bluebirds

Short mid week craft sessions with an emphasis on the yarning while crafting model. These classes are open to all, materials and tools provided, with a friendly, slightly sweary, but fun atmosphere. For July we are starting with a lucet braiding session, covering basic cordmaking, then practising two colour cords, adding beads and other variations.

Next session on the 16th is making a wrist spindle to hold your yarn or crochet cotton with options to paint, sew, or braid to personalise your spindle and wristlet strap.

Third session on the 30th is a return to viking knitting, practice the technique in either yarn or wire to make jewellery and other accessories.

Each session runs from 9.30am to 12pm
Classes are $26,
Bookings via Crece at 2Bluebirds.
