Today we’re going to get educated about feijoas 🧑‍🎓

Best Ways to Eat Feijoas

Raw (Most Common): Cut in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, similar to eating a kiwifruit.

Scoop and Eat: Cut off the top and squeeze the pulp directly into your mouth.

Peel: Peel the skin off entirely and eat the whole thing like a small apple.

Cooked: Add to smoothies, blend into yogurts, bake into muffins, or make into jams, chutneys, or crumbles.

How to Tell if a Feijoa is Ripe
Fall to Ground: Ripe fruit often falls from the tree naturally.

Squeeze Test: Give it a gentle squeeze; if it has a slight "give" (like a ripe avocado), it is ready.

Flesh Color: When cut, the flesh should be clear or jelly-like, not opaque white.

Scent: Ripe feijoas are very fragrant. If the fruit is too firm, leave it at room temperature for a few days to soften.
