Hey everyone,
As most of you know we have decided to sell up everything & hit the open road in a van! If we are able to sell our home we plan on leaving in Dec.🤞 I'm sure Barry Wheeler has got this 😊

We have had many of you asking to follow our journey (and I know family & close friends want to keep an eye on us 😬), so we thought we'd start a new social media page to share it all with you.

And just like that we are now officially closed. We wanted to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and patronage throughout our journey as a small business. Your loyalty and enthusiasm have meant the world to us. We have cherished every interaction, every smile, and every conversation shared with our valued customers. Your presence has brought life to our business, and we are eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve you.

While it saddens us to bid farewell, we are also filled with anticipation for the next adventure that awaits us. As we embark on a new chapter in our lives, we are eager to explore different paths and pursue new dreams. We carry with us the memories and experiences we've gained through our time in this wonderful community.

During the process of cleaning up our workshop, we will be sorting through the very last of our stock and some seconds products that still deserve a loving home. We will be posting these items on our social media accounts over the next few weeks, giving you an opportunity to acquire them at special prices.

We value the relationships we have built with you and would love to stay in touch, even as we move forward on different paths. Many of you have contacted us wanting to follow our new adventures and journey, so we have decided to document all of our travels and hope you will keep in touch and follow along. We will share our new social platforms with you once they are up and running.

Thank you to each & everyone of you who placed an order last night or today. We are so overwhelmed by the amount of orders (this pic is just some of today 😲) & we can't thank you enough.

Please be patient with us as we pack & send out your orders, especially those that are personalised, this may take longer than usual but we'll try our best to get them all out by the end of this week.

Once products sell out I will remove them from the website. As we clean up & out the workshop over the next few weeks there will be some seconds products that we will post on our socials for people to purchase at an even better price.😄 So be sure to keep an eye out.

We are posting today with a mixture of emotions. After careful consideration and much soul-searching, we have come to the bittersweet decision to close down our store to embark on a much-needed journey to explore the beautiful landscapes of Australia in a caravan, with no plans and no end in mind!
While it saddens us to say goodbye, we are also filled with excitement for the next chapter of our lives. One of the reasons we decided to make this bold move is to prioritise our family and spend quality time together. We believe that life is not just about work and responsibilities, but also about creating memories and cherishing the moments that truly matter.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support throughout the years. Your loyalty and patronage have been invaluable to us, and we are deeply grateful for every interaction and connection we've made. It is your enthusiasm and support that has fueled our passion for providing quality products and exceptional service.
Although we will be closing our store we will continue to maintain an online presence, sharing updates about our travels (probably on new accounts, which we will share with you all soon). We would love for you to stay connected with us through these social media channels, so we can share our adventures and stay in touch with our wonderful community.
Some of you may have seen some posts about things we had going on ready to launch, and they were going to be great, however in the wake of closing, I will keep these as a secret in the event that we return to open Bear Timber!😉
We want to sincerely thank you for being a part of our store's journey. Your support has made our experience truly special, and we are forever grateful. We hope that as we embark on this new chapter, you too find inspiration to pursue your dreams, take time for what truly matters, and embrace the beauty of the world around us.

You may have noticed we have been pretty absent from our socials lately and our website has been closed for ordering. Well that's because we had some personal things going on for us and couldn't dedicate the time needed to making products and keeping up with the day-to-day running of the business, so we decided we needed to back up a little!

But.... don't fear, all is well here now and we are ready to open up shop and continue taking orders. However, we are pretty low on stock, so "Bear" 🙃 with us as we replenish stock and aim to get back into the swing of it all.

1:1 correspondence counting is a crucial early math skill that helps children develop a strong foundation for more complex math concepts. Here are some tips to help your little ones master this skill:

1️⃣ 𝙐𝙨𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨: Counting with manipulatives, such as blocks or small toys, can make the process more concrete and tangible for children.

2️⃣ 𝙋𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨: When counting objects, encourage your child to point to each object as they say the number.

3️⃣ 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙣: Encourage your child to count objects whenever possible - while grocery shopping, playing games, or during daily routines.

4️⃣ 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙪𝙣: Turn counting into a game! You can count steps, toys, or even make up a counting song or rhyme.

Ugh, slump phases. We all have them from time to time as a working parent.

But as they say, it’s the rough times that have us truly appreciating the good times.

And while the slump phases can SUCK, they do serve purpose and generally provide us with the opportunity to reflect on how we can do things better.

Here’s my quick “how to” on persevering the slump phase:

1. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲: This might mean taking a few minutes each day to meditate, exercise, or just read a book. Whatever makes you feel good, make sure you carve out time for it.

2. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱: When you have a lot on your plate, it can be overwhelming. Take a few minutes to make a to-do list and prioritise tasks. This will help you stay focused and feel more in control.

3. 𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽: Don't be afraid to reach out to friends, family, or coworkers for support. Whether it's help with childcare or just someone to talk to, having a support system can make all the difference.
