Good morning! I’m getting this feeling that there’s no stopping Spring now in the garden! I absolutely love this time of year, when the first blossoms and bulbs are flowering and everything beautiful is still to come over the next 6 months or so.
My sister Beth was down for a day yesterday and we had fun making these flowerballs on a natural grapevine base. Definitely will be making more for the shop!

I’ve been having fun the past couple of days making strings of bunting using beautiful Cambridge Imprint papers glued over paper string. The colours and patterns are so lovely- bright yet somehow muted and vintage like their stunning cards.
I have five bunting strings available in store now, or you could try making your own by buying a pack of their craft papers which are excellent value and very sturdy.

It’s taken Luke a while in between other work but finally he has finished another unique and wonderful piece for the Raven Wood room at the shop.
This one is the most unusual set of shelves you’re likely to find, expertly crafted and joined in this unique outwardly sloping shape that rather reminds me of a lantern. It can sit on the floor or on a raised surface and is completely double sided. If this was yours, what would you put in it?! I’d love to hear your suggestions. Mine would be probably a mix of books and collections (of which I have many!)

Here are some lovely photos (taken by Mum Ellanor and her sister ) from Saturday’s birthday party workshop!
It was such a delight to work with the birthday girl Hazel, (far right) and her friends Beth, Adele and Bonnie. They all did a brilliant job of putting together all of the little dried flower bunches and securing them with florist tape ready for me to attach them to their flower crowns. Then it was time for the beautifully prepared party food that Mum had provided before the girls turned their hands to making an individual flower arrangement in a patterned mini pail to take home with them.
It was a great first experience for me too and I’ve taken away a few tips to tweak things for the future. If you would like to chat about booking a similar workshop you can DM me or pop into the shop for a chat.

Happy Saturday! Just a reminder that I will be closing at 2 today to host a child’s birthday party in the shop. This is a first for me, though I do have a long teaching experience of working with students K-12. We’ll be making flower crowns and arranging a little bucket of dried flowers to take home. I’m looking forward to it!
