Okay… after yesterday’s discussion, we think we can safely say that quilting rules are sometimes more like suggestions.

But that’s exactly why we love 'The Rules of Quilting.'

At just 20" square, it’s a lovely little project to stitch and hang in your sewing room amongst all those fabrics, threads and treasures we somehow keep collecting.

The pattern includes the iron-on transfer, so there’s no fiddly tracing before you begin — you can get straight into the stitchery.

Make one for your own sewing room, or stitch one for that quilting friend who knows all the “rules”… and probably breaks just as many as you do.

We all know quilting has its rules… although I’m fairly sure we’ve all broken a few of them along the way!

Measure twice. Cut once.
Quarter-inch seams.
Press, don’t iron.
And perhaps the most important one… never point out your mistakes!

The Rules of Quilting is a fun little 20" square mini quilt filled with the acronyms, tools and sayings we quilters know all too well.

It’s the sort of piece that just belongs on the sewing room wall — ready to make you smile while you stitch, cut, press… or spend half an hour unpicking that seam you were sure was right.

Our annual Adelaide Christmas Gathering is nearly full, and we’d really love to get those last few places snapped up so we can close registrations and get busy preparing all the lovely bits for the day.
