A bit of a belated reminder, but our Battery Point shop is closed for a bit while we take our first proper family holiday! The good news for you is that the entire catalogue is in our online store and everything (aside from subscriptions and merch) is currently 10% off!
We’ll be posting and open for free pickups as soon as we get back to Nipaluna/Hobart on the 12th, and we’re contactable by email if you need us before then.

This little trip is something we’ve all dreamt of for years and years, and turning 50 and grieving a parent seemed like the perfect nudge. So here we are. Oh yes, there will be record shopping aplenty, so stay tuned for updates and fun stuff! ❤️🌻

Hey folks! We’re open ANZAC day (tomorrow) 12.30-4pm, and 10am-4pm Sunday when is on! We have LOADS of new CDs, some preloved favourites and an awesome range of new vinyl in store right now.

ALSO! A little heads up: this weekend is your last chance to shop in-store for a couple of weeks. We’ll be closed from April 28th until May 12th while we take our first proper family holiday (with a decent dose of record shopping on the side). The online store will be open, with shipping and free pickups after the 12th!

Erm, so it’s been a bit of a whirlwind month and we’ve neglected to tell you what this month’s featured record club albums are! There are still a few days left to get your hands on Julia Jacklin’s Pre Pleasure (homegrown) or Mitski‘s Be The Cowboy (essential). Or both if you choose to join our double up club and make the most of all the extra discounts and bonuses (see pic 2).

We’ll be announcing our May selections over the next couple of days. ❤️

Aww what a gorgeous Record Store Day! Huge thanks and love for all the folks who turned out today to celebrate music by women! You lined up in the cold, wee hours - so graciously and patiently shopping alongside each other in our tiny shop, beaming smiles wishing us a “Happy Record Store Day!” as you walked up to the counter. You found preloved gold and other favourites in the collection. Then stopped in to enjoy a beautiful set by .keyte 💛 Thanks so much, one and all!

We’re open 10am-4pm tomorrow (Sunday), with plenty more RSD exclusive titles, great preloved and new releases left to enjoy. Drop in and spend some time if you’re nearby!

Here's the list! It's always tricky getting a large spread of favourite RSD releases here in time for the big day. Months of planning, guessing and waiting go into it. When the doors open at 9am tomorrow (Saturday), we'll have these titles ready for you (1 per title, per customer - them's the rules!). A handful of late titles will be here next week, and we're selling those to the first folks who purchase them in the shop tomorrow, for later pick-up. Anything left after the weekend will be available online Monday at 9am.

Here's what else is happening in-store on Record Store Day at Suffragette Records:

- 30% off previous RSD titles & other special selections
- A free tote bag for each of the first 10 customers, then stickers for the next 20
- A BIG stack of awesome preloved essentials and new vinyl added to the collection through the week that we haven't had time to tell you about
- Naomi Keyte (SA singer-songwriter) performing live at 2pm!!
- Little Amsterdam will be serving coffees just down the road a bit, bright and early, to help warm you up
- Free parking outside the shop, as always
- Salamanca Market is on too!
