VALE Aubrey Gamble | Earlier this week we farewelled one of our longest-serving, and much-loved volunteers, Aub. Just months shy of his 104th birthday Aub had been volunteering at the shop for 30+ years, fixing watches and other items bringing them back to life to sell.

With a cheeky twinkle in his eye Aub was always up for a chat and had plenty of stories to share, he lived a truly remarkable and full life - one worth celebrating. Aub will be dearly missed by everyone at the shop and our customers too, he was a true gentleman and friend to so many 🧡

It's always such a delight when Lisa drops in 🧡

Our Chief Executive Officer, Dr Lisa Griffiths dropped in to say hi to our wonderful team at the OzChild Op Shop in Highett today, surprising some of our longest-standing volunteers.

If you are in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne why not drop in yourself one day, there are always some really lovely bits and pieces on display and treasures to find.

Sadly, we have had to cancel our fundraising fashion parade, we were looking forward to sharing some of the treasures from the shop but unfortunately, we just haven't sold enough tickets. Thank you to everyone who did show their support.

A fundraising fashion parade designed for fans of pre-loved glamour and inspiring looks curated from the OzChild Op Shop Collection.

This morning we said farewell to our friend and long-time volunteer, Carol Willenberg, at a beautiful service to celebrate her remarkable life.

Carol is an adored mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and friend to many. Carol volunteered at the shop for over 30 years and was instrumental in setting it up and its successful operations.

Carol's family shared some wonderful memories of her today; she was a caring, kind, and chatty lady, loved by many, including her friends at the Op Shop.

An avid gardener, Carol won many awards for her beautiful roses, so it was lovely to see such an incredible display of roses at her send-off today.

RIP Carol, you will be missed by so many 🧡
