Haven't posted for a while, but I managed to finish these 3 in the last few days, first one is Western Red Cedar with an epoxy tail end mixed with colour shift powder, 2nd one is some random timber I foundbat work and the colouring is awesome, real soft timber, softer than pine, but I loved the colour from dark at the top to almost white at the bottom, the 3rd one is a segmented snake lure I started some time ago but finally got round to finishing.

So I made a display base for this Mackerel a while back, but thought it needed something else, so I had a piece of drift wood sitting around and decided to spruce it up

A couple more keyrings finished, they came up very nice. The wood I'm pretty sure is Jarrah.

This one I finished a while ago but it needed some adjustment as the joint was binding, rectified it yesterday and took it out for a swim test this morning, I tested it before foiling and painting and was happy with action, it still has great action

Took it out for a swim test this morning and it went really, good action, just how I wanted it, I took spare weights in case but the hooks were enoug,lh, and with paint and clear coat to go, should be all it needs 👍

My latest creation I'm half way through, a fraction of the length of my previous one, which is in the last couple of photos, I wanted to do a smaller version so I can actually use it.

Continuing on the keyring projects I thought I would have a crack at my home countries iconic bird, the Kiwi, I decided to leave the beak partially attached to the main part of the wood as it would be a weak spot, nice timber, not exactly sure what it is, it's a very hard wood and was used as a garden stake, I thought probably Kwila.
