Some pieces hold more than beauty. They hold a life, a memory, a love that never really leaves us.

For Mother’s Day, I made my mum a solid gold pendant using a wax mould taken from the nose of her little dog, Cam, just after he passed. A tiny imprint of someone who was never “just a dog.”

Cam, short for Camshaft, (& Cam Follower…) because he followed Mum and Dad everywhere, was a fluffy white shadow, endlessly loyal, cheeky, funny, sometimes annoying, and completely adored. After my Dad passed away, he became my Mum’s quiet companion through grief, routine, loneliness, and healing. He gave her comfort in the smallest everyday moments, the way only dogs can.

This pendant is delicate and understated, but to us it carries an entire relationship inside it. A reminder that love leaves impressions on us long after someone is gone.

I think the most meaningful jewellery tells a story. Not just of style, but of connection between people and animals, memory and love.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who love deeply, and to the animals who somehow become part of our hearts and our families forever. 💐
