Sales & Operations Lead (Coffee Roastery)

At Prodigal Coffee Roasters, we’re a growing, hands-on roastery focused on building strong relationships with the cafes and venues we work with. Banging coffee, hard work and good times is what we are about.
We’re looking for someone who wants more than a standard sales role — someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is just as comfortable out visiting customers as they are getting stuck into the day-to-day running of a working roastery.
What you’ll be doing
* Building and managing relationships with our wholesale customers across the Mornington
* Peninsula and beyond
* Generating new leads and converting them into long-term accounts
* Regular check-ins with customers to ensure quality, consistency, and satisfaction
* Coordinating orders, delivery schedules, and customer needs (including machinery rental & servicing)
* Working with the owner to support wholesale product development and marketing initiatives
* Daily roasting of production batches to meet wholesale demand (with training and support trom our head roaster)
What we’re looking for
* Strong people skills - you’re confident, proactive, and follow things through
* Natural sales ability (experience in sales, hospitality, or account management is a big plus)
* A self-starter mindset — you take ownership and don’t wait to be told what to do
* Comfortable in a hands-on role that includes both customer-facing work and physical production tasks
* Must hold full Victorian Drivers License (company van will be utilised for deliveries)
* Organised enough to stay on top of customers, orders, and follow-ups
