Hello everyone, it has been a long while since I contacted you and rather shockingly it will soon be a year since we closed. I can't believe how quickly that time has gone. But life is good and we are just back from a busy trip to Perth (we helped my sister install a new kitchen so not much holidaying, but it was fun🤣)

Sadly, it is time to shut down the website. It will be closed down in a couple of days as the domain is up for renewal and there is no point in keeping it going. Any email addresses that have .com.au in them will become unusable as well, so if you need to talk to us it will have to be via facebook. I won't shut the page down for a while at least.

I'm having such a weird time this Christmas. For the first time in nearly 30 years, no classes, no customers, no leftover Gingerbread or toffee houses to share with family and friends. Actually if I am very honest, I am liking it a lot. Geoff and I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Missing you all but having a great new life.

Tried to post this the other day but it got lost, just love the weirdness of Facebook. Windows and Roller door have now been repaired - hooray!!! Geoff and I will be at the factory/shop tomorrow (Sat 22nd) from 10am to 2:30pm. There are still heaps of small medium and large plastic buckets, paper bags and plastic bags going FREE if you still want some. Few things for sale and a few other things to be got rid of as well. Cash Only. Or just come and say hello again. Cheers Anne and Geoff

I have finished going to work at Hindustan, was there for a bit over a month and got to show a number of you around. But now can concentrate on final cleaning out of the factory. They have now got stocks of Dark Rye bread mix and Soft Bun mix, in 12.5kg at the moment, but smaller sizes soon. If you are having trouble finding particular supplies, don't be afraid to ask them for other products, or just message me and I will help if I can.

I have had my first proper day at Hindustan, it's been a while since I was "junior" learning the ropes. Spent a lot of the day learning where all "our" products are located, so I am ready to show you around. 10am to 2:30ish Wed to Sat.

If anyone calls past our shop, please understand we are Ok. Some idiots broke in on Sunday night, smashed up the roller door and several windows. All that damage for a little money and a cheap box of tools. So frustrating and annoying!!!

Very special moment, just had a dinner party in the middle of the shop. We are about to scrape the sign off our window 28 years to the day since we opened. Also 24 years to the day since we became The Mixing Bowl. Now our final week.

Some exciting news. Hindustan Imports is our recommended new supplier for your ingredients. They have invited me to work there for a few months, to help everyone get used to new packaging and labelling. So I start 1st of August Wed to Sat 10am to about 3pm. Come along at those times and check it out with me. I will be helping them add new products to their store, such as Soft bun Mix, Fruit Medley and a few others.🎉😀
