JHancock Drums

JHancock Drums I am a Custom Stave Drum builder in South Australia. Please get in contact with me for availability. What do we offer? How did it start? What can you order?

At Jhancock drums you can have your perfect drum kit created. All our drums are stave construction which means they sound incredible. What is the difference between a ply and stave drum? Stave/block drums are built by gluing wood together in a barrel construction then turning down on a lathe. When a drum is built from ply the wood is bent and glued in layers, this process stops any tone being prod

uced from the wood and creates a very different sounding drum. in 2004 I decided to build my own drums as I wanted drums that I really enjoyed playing. When I built my first drum I realised how incredible the difference a well built stave constructed drum can sound. After people started hearing and playing my drums I started getting requests for my products and that is how JHancock drums was born. Wood choices are jarrah and Tasmanian Blackwood. How much do they cost? snare: $1100 AUD
10, 12 inch toms: $950 AUD
14, 16 inch toms: $1050 AUD
18 inch toms: $1150 AUD
20, 22, 24 inch kick drums : $1700 AUD

How long does it take to make? I only keep a very small amount of drums in stock. there can be a lead time from 2 weeks to 6 months depending on the order.

Shout out to Rech Cymbals - Australia. Ordered a large size pack of inferno dry cymbals from them and am very impressed with the quality of the products and the service I received. Extremely good prices and amazing cymbals. Worth checking them out.
