Jess came in with a beautiful overall ashy base already, but with her wedding coming up later this year, we wanted to refine the colour so it felt softer, more even, and extra seamless for photos 🤍
Instead of doing a huge foiling session, we added around 30 strategically placed foils through the hair to break up some of the older warmer bands and create a more balanced blend throughout.
In between, we used a 7.71 to help soften and blur warmth while still keeping dimension in the hair.
For her root area, we created a custom mix using 6.23 + 6.71 to keep her natural depth feeling rich and glossy without going too dark.
(If I was tweaking anything, I probably would’ve added a touch of 5.1 for a little extra depth — but honestly, the final result still turned out so beautiful ✨)
Through the ends, we refreshed with 8.71 + 8.23 to help tone down warmth while keeping the blonde feeling soft, creamy, and natural.
One thing I always educate my rural girls on is that living out here can make ash tones fade faster — whether that’s tank water, bore water, minerals, heat, or sun exposure.
That’s why maintenance at home matters SO much:
• cooler water
• professional shampoo & conditioner
• heat protection
• regular gloss refresh appointments
The best part?
Jess now won’t need another big foiling appointment before her wedding at the end of the year 👏
This appointment came to $345 total, which included her colour refresh, foils, toning, and finishing. I love being transparent about pricing so you can better understand what goes into creating soft, lived-in colour like this 🤍
