Well... the Secret is OUT! Gold Coast distillery Artisans Secret Distillery has just won a four-medal sweep at the Worlds Spirit Challenge. Three of these for their rum poducts - their Reserve Barrel Rum - GOLD! Their Coco-Rumka (Coconut Liqueur) - Silver. Their Oak Spiced Rum - Bronze. (The forth was a silver for their Vodkain case you're wondering). And they'll all be there for your tasting pleasure at both Rumolution shows!

Artisans Secret is a craft distillery, located on acreage in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, Qld. We make our spirits from scratch, including the alcohol, to distil our own range of rum - as well as gin and vodka. The botanicals (such as fruits, flowers, herbs, spices) we select from those we grow on site from our distillery property and also whenever possible, from local organic producers.

Our next lot of oak barrels arrived this week 🥳.
Opening these freshly emptied ex-bourbon barrels was wild, as they released the fabulous aroma of sweet vanilla and charred oak...aaahhhh 😍.
They'll be perfect vessels to add to our rum production room. But first, there are a few things to do to prep the barrels:
1) Inspect the staves, checking for tight seals and structural integrity.
2) Tightly secure the iron hoops.
3) Rinse the insides with our pure cane spirit to remove any loose char while preserving the deep bourbon-soaked wood layers.
Once prepped, we'll fill these tomorrow with our pristine newly made spirit, and so its long journey will then begin to become one of our gold medal-winning reserve rums 🥃🥃🥃
