Banana yarn! Yes, this is yarn made from banana plant stem fibres, made by a collective of Fair Trade Indian artisans utilising the plant byproduct. I've been looking for a silky yarn that is a little kinder than commercial silk (horrified to learn that the larvae are boiled or steamed alive during the silk-making). This banana yarn has a lovely lustre and is ideal for incorporating into wet-felting. Thank you to .yarn for a wonderful product and lovely customer service πŸ™‚

Latest wet-felted bag, made by mum and I this week. Tomorrow it will be on its way to Oxford UK as a gift for mum's treasured neice. They have been corresponding for over 50 years and mum wanted to make this bag of merino and alpaca fleece as a gift to celebrate the decades of friendship they have shared😍. Thank you to
for her excellent online Domestika course - this is by far the best bag we've made so far!

First attempt at a wet-felted seascape, inspired by and (Natasha's book on wet felting is amazing!). What a great learning curve working with my usual merino and alpaca fleece whilst experimenting with banana palm yarn (fantastic to use!), silk throwsters waste, metallic thread, cotton, and mohair boucle yarn. A great project to do with my 94 year old mum yesterday.

The beautiful Tasmanian merino was from and

For sale. Our two boys have turned one year old and are ready for a new home. Both have been recently wethered at the vets, and are up to date with all vaccinations. Pearla is white, and Rubio is medium fawn. These two are great mates and have nice dispositions. They are pasture animals and require space to be healthy and happy. Must be sold as a pair. $1,000 for the two. Please DM or phone/text Mark on 0429952985

Nice to catch sight of a Tasmanian Devil just behind our shed. The wildlife camera filmed it three nights in a row, so we're guessing he/she is a resident. With the creek nearby and plenty of shelter, undergrowth and food, I'm hoping there is a family group around.
