There are TEN stores involved in the Bellarine & Surf Coast crawl - check back on our last post for a list of shops. SIX stamps constitutes a complete crawl, and you can win all sorts of goodies along the way.

Book Bird Tyler was the purrrrrfect model for this picture of “Great Writers & the Cats Who Owned Them” by Susannah Fullerton. Look at his fabulous cat shirt, and his striking cat arm tats! You simply could not find a bigger cat-lover if you tried 🐈💜

Anywho… This gorgeous little hardback book was a hot ticket item just before Christmas and has only recently come back into stock. It chronicles some of the most famous writer-feline bonds in history, from Charles Dickens’ cat Bob (who apparently helped him open letters) to Doris Lessings’ cat El Magnifico (a handsome, lordly beast engaged in a “duet of mutual admiration” with Lessing). This volume also includes additional stories of cats in bookshops (yay), libraries and hotels, and is charmingly illustrated by Susie Foster. 🖊️

Coinciding with an exhibition on ‘bats & belonging’ at in Geelong Centrepoint Arcade, we’re stocking an incredible children’s book on flying foxes by Deborah Ladd ().

Did you know that Geelong has a bat colony in Eastern Park? Learn about these sweet creatures in Deborah Ladd’s picture book, complete with THE most incredible water colour artwork and an educational section at the back.

This book is supported by and . The exhibition at Untether Gallery is on until this Saturday 21st February, so head on down over the next few days ☺️✨
