To the beautiful Freshwater community,

I announce COCO SHOP Freshwater will be closing its doors on May 31st.
Since opening this shop in 2018 in this peaceful, and great suburb we love so much,

Looking back, my heart is full of "treasure-like" memories:

- Joining the fun at the Freshie Fete and Mother’s Day stalls.

- Seeing you walk through our doors with your friends and families, sharing smiles.

- Watching our little customers carefully clutching their coins to buy a special gift for their mums.

- Seeing strangers become friends while helping each other pick out the perfect pair of sandals.

Every one of you brought such warmth to the shop.

Those moments were truly the highlight of my days, and I cannot thank you enough.

On a personal note, as my children grow and our family’s lifestyle evolves, I felt the time was right to make this big decision to close this chapter.

I started COCO SHOP with a simple wish: to create a space where women and mothers could find a "little treat" for themselves, or pick out a thoughtful gift for someone special.

Back then, my three children were still so small.
Thanks to the school and this incredible community, they have grown up strong and happy here.

I often wonder
- have we been able to give back even a little of the kindness you showed us?

I truly hope that browsing our shop brought you a sense of excitement and joy.

Even though the physical shop will soon be gone, it would make me the happiest person in the world to know that COCO SHOP remains a warm, fond memory in a small corner of your hearts.

【2026年5月末 閉店のご挨拶】
いつも COCO SHOP を温かく見守ってくださり、本当にありがとうございます。

この度、COCO SHOP Freshwater は、2026年5月末をもちまして、その歩みに一区切りをつけさせていただくこととなりました。

2018年7月のオープンより、丸8年。
この地で皆様にお会いし、お話できたことは、私にとってかけがえのない小さな幸せの日々でした。

当初は現在の半分のスペースから始まり、やがて2店舗分への拡張、形成ケアンズセントラルでの4ヶ月にわたるポップアップショップ。
一つひとつの出来事が、今は宝物のような思い出です。

振り返れば、開店当時に9歳、7歳、2歳だった子供たちも、今では17歳、14歳、10歳となりました。

来年末には末っ子も Freshwater State School を卒業し、私も長年続けた小学校への送り迎えを「卒業」する時を迎えます。

日々、自らの目標や夢に向かって懸命に突き進む子供たちの姿に、私自身も大きな勇気をもらい、
また彼らに負けないよう、私もまた新たな情熱を持って、次のステージへと一歩を踏み出していきたいと思っております。

これまで支えてくださった皆様への精一杯のご恩返しとして、5月末まで（または在庫の続く限り）、ほぼすべての商品を半額にてご提供させていただきます。

この Freshwater という場所で今日まで走り続けてこられたのは、ローカルの皆様、地域のコミュニティ、ビジネスパートナーの皆様、そして何より、いつも一番近くで支えてくれた家族と友人の存在があったからです。

言葉では言い尽くせない感謝の思いを、いま静かに噛み締めております。

皆様と一緒に過ごした日々は、私のこれからの人生の「宝物」でございます。
本当にありがとうございました。

◆COCO SHOPの今後について
実店舗は終了させていただきますが、KOBEサンダル、ソルトウォーターサンダル、スキンケアなどの一部商品は、今後もオンラインにて継続してお届けいたします。

ご興味のある方は、どうぞお気軽にお声がけください。

また、期間限定のポップアップショップなども計画しております。
その際は改めて SNS にてご案内させていただきますので、引き続き繋がっていていただけると嬉しいです。

なお、Cafe Triangle は今後も変わらず営業を続けてまいります。

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this with a mix of emotions to share some big news.

After 8 wonderful years, COCO SHOP Freshwater will be closing its doors at the end of May 2026.

Since opening in July 2018, being part of this beautiful community and chatting with all of you has been the absolute highlight of my days. From starting in a tiny space to expanding the shop and even running our 4-month pop-up at Cairns Central—every single moment has become a cherished memory.

Time truly flies! When I first opened the shop, my children were just 9, 7, and 2 years old. Now, they’ve grown into young adults and students aged 17, 14, and 10.
With my youngest graduating from Freshwater State School next year, I’ll also be "graduating" from the long years of school drop-offs and pick-ups!
Watching my kids chase their dreams with such passion has inspired me to do the same. It’s time for me to take a leap of faith and step into my own next chapter with a fresh heart. I hope you’ll continue to cheer me on!

As a massive thank you for all your support over the years, we’re holding a Closing Sale with almost everything at HALF PRICE until the end of May (or while stocks last).
Please grab your friends and family and pop in to say hello! I’d love nothing more than to share some laughs and memories of the past 8 years with you all one last time.

Beyond our usual days, I’ll be opening the shop as much as possible during the sale. Please keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook stories for the latest updates.

To our locals, the Freshwater community, our landlord, real estate team, business partners, and my dear friends and family—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m truly soaking in all the gratitude right now.
What’s next for COCO SHOP?
While the physical shop is closing, the journey continues! You can still find your favourites like KOBE Sandals, Salt Water Sandals, and our skincare range online. I’m also planning some exciting pop-up shops in the future, so stay tuned to our socials!
Also, Cafe Triangle will continue to trade as usual, so please keep supporting them as you always have.
