This year's Fremantle Biennale headline work will present an Australian first. A fleet of 160 choreographed drones will take flight over the bilya (river) and wardan (ocean), transforming the night sky in an epic spectacle of light, movement, and sound to tell ancient and living stories of place. Led by emerging Nyoongar artist Ilona McGuire.

Dust off your dancing shoes & push aside the pool table - Hidden Treasures - Fremantle's Winter Music Series is back for 2020. Traditionally held in winter, the team at City of Fremantle has surprised everyone and announced that it will be held in September for the first time in its 10-year history. This event holds a special place in our hearts, having been involved in the inaugural year all that time ago. Get ready for epic live music nestled among the evocative buildings of the west end – see you every Thursday night in September!

Fremantle Festival: 10 Nights in Port kicks off tomorrow, with a whole heap of great events happening over 10 wintry evenings. Whether it's getting involved in the making of a 'onesie', watching a high-energy variety show or enjoying an enchanting musical collaboration, make sure you take a look at the program and get involved. The ever-popular Hidden Treasures - Fremantle's Winter Music Series will also be happening as part of the festival - with the first session happening tonight!

No ordinary night out, Feast of the Deceiver, a mysterious new immersive dinner experience, is coming to Fremantle. The chefs are “slightly nervous”, the location will only be revealed the day before and guests have to surrender their phones at the start of the night.

Running from Thursday, July 11 to Saturday, July 13. After the event, guests have access to a cocktail lounge with live music from local artists. Tickets are $175 (inclusive of arrival cocktail, six-course degustation, and free-flowing wine) and available online www.10nightsinport.com.au

the wonderful ArtWalk returns to Fremantle for the weekend of June 15 and 16. Four studios are open both days from 10am until 4pm. $10 tickets cover entrance for both days and can be bought online or at the entrance. More information and maps can be found at artwalkfreo.com.
