Ferny Grove Central is a world-class development and is set to transform Ferny Grove train station into a vibrant residential, retail, dining and commercial destination.

FERNY GROVE CENTRAL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Since the last Construction Update, there has been significant progress across the Ferny Grove Central project, even though the project remains behind schedule.

Significant milestones achieved over the last three months include:

* Western retail building now ready for fitout by tenants
* Eastern retail building's facade works are well advanced and service rough-ins are progressing well
* Completion of the slab infills on the eastern retail building finalise the structural pours in this building

Samford Road works are continuing with the significant progress to Kedron Brook culvert works and mobilisation for major road works under way.

The Fernery apartments achieved a significant milestone with all structural concrete pours now complete.

Upcoming construction milestones include:

* Eastern retail building to be made watertight
* Tower crane on The Fernery leaving the site before Christmas
* Kedron Brook remediation works to continue

FERNY GROVE CENTRAL - CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

While construction of Ferny Grove Central is progressing steadily, the project continues to experience significant delays, as a result of a number of factors impacting the builder, Broad Constructions.

We're pleased that a new milestone has been achieved on the western retail building with "roof on" now complete. The eastern retail building is now preparing for tenant fitout.

Construction on The Fernery apartment building continues, with Level 4 concrete pours completed, and work continuing on the upper levels.

Upcoming construction milestones include completion of flyover roof between eastern and western retail buildings and continuing concrete pours from Level 5 to roof for The Fernery.

At this stage, based on an updated building program, the builder, Broad Construction, is aiming for Practical Completion in Q3, 2026. Unfortunately, every program we get is another protraction of completion, so it is possible it could be as late as Q4 2026.

FERNY GROVE CENTRAL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

The Ferny Grove Central Team is pleased to bring you the latest news on the construction progress of Ferny Grove Central and The Fernery apartments.

While construction has been progressing, it remains behind the updated construction program, due to delays caused by the inclement weather in February and March, including the impact of Cyclone Alfred, and industrial action.

The eastern portion of the retail precinct building works are quite advanced with tenancies ready for fit out, and amenities nearing completion.

In the western retail building, the concrete pours for Level 2 are complete, with one of the Level 3 concrete pours remaining to complete, prior to the final two roof pours.

Construction on The Fernery apartment block continues with the awning pours completed, and 50% of pours on Level 2 complete.

Upcoming construction milestones include the pouring of the final roof slab of western retail to be poured by the end of June, and concrete pours on Level 2 on The Fernery site.

Based on an updated building program, the builder is aiming for Practical Completion late in Q2, 2026.

The Ferny Grove Central team is excited to announce that a key milestone has been reached in the construction process. The first pour of the basement slab is under way for the retail part of the development.

New Park 'n' Ride car park opens

The new commuter carpark at Ferny Grove railway station opened today. This marks the delivery of the first stage of Ferny Grove Central and we are looking forward to commencing the second stage!
The new car park is an increase of 450 car parks compared to the previous open air facility and 80% of the new commuter car parks are undercover.
