Obsidian Moon is owned and operated by David & Chris McAlpine, who both have a passion for coffee and crystals, even though Chris is a tea drinker! A bit about Chris McAlpine

Her work is a unique blend of science, spirituality, and creativity. As a cosmetic chemist, Reiki master, and creative entrepreneur, her journey has always been about understanding the power of creation—whether in a lab, a h

ealing session, or in the stillness of a crystal. She specialises in holistic wellness through energetic and aromatic therapies. Her approach is unique because it's rooted in both scientific expertise and intuitive wisdom. She believes that true healing and well-being come from an alchemy of the mind, body, and spirit. This philosophy is at the heart of everything she does — from the precise formulation of a new skincare product to the thoughtful selection of a crystal and the intention behind every candle she creates. Beyond her professional life, she's a passionate writer of fiction. This creative outlet allows her to explore new worlds and perspectives, which in turn inspires the mindful and imaginative work she brings to my clients. When she's not practising Reiki, crafting a new essential oil blend, or working with resin, you can find her perfecting new skincare formulas or connecting with the grounding energy of crystals. Her mission is to help you restore balance and find a deeper sense of peace through products and practices that are as powerful as they are pure. She is dedicated to sharing her passions for wellness and creativity with you, helping you on your own journey toward well-being. A bit about David McAlpine

His passion lies in the lapidary arts, specifically the intricate process of carving and shaping crystals. While Chris explores the energetic and aromatic properties of these stones, David's focus is on their physical form—transforming raw, natural crystals into beautiful, tangible objects. He believes that every crystal holds a unique story within its structure. His role is to carefully and meticulously reveal that story, using precision and skill to bring out the stone's hidden beauty. The process of shaping and polishing each piece is a meditative practice for me, a way of honouring the crystal's natural perfection while adding an artistic touch. When he's not in his studio, he enjoys researching the geological origins of the crystals he works with. This knowledge informs his carving, allowing him to understand each stone's unique characteristics and potential. He is dedicated to creating pieces that are not only aesthetically stunning but also a testament to the Earth's remarkable artistry.
