GG's Flowers & Hampers is a socially sustainable florist in the ACT. We employ people with disabilities to provide meaningful employment and education opportunities to them. Based in Canberra, we deliver to all suburbs and can take on any project, big or small. Personally, Geetha Wijewickrema is the mother of Gayana Wijewickrema, a young and vivacious 15 year-old with Down Syndrome. Together, it i

s their passion and dream to make floral arrangements for the Canberra community. We specialise in corsages, floral arrangements, gift boxes, hampers, bouquets and everything else flowers related! This week, we’re celebrating the amazing Isabelle 💛

From hamper queen to hamper boss, Isabelle has truly become a jobs guru at GG’s. She has grown her confidence and capacity one job at a time, and we are so proud of the transformation we’ve seen in her.

Isabelle is such a beautiful example to her friends of living a full, independent life. She is a whiz at all her jobs at home and brings that same meticulous eye for detail into everything she does at GG’s.

Whether she’s helping with hampers, ticking off the jobs board, or showing others how it’s done, Isabelle gives her work so much care and pride.

We’re so proud of you, Isabelle, and so lucky to have you as part of the GG’s family 💐

It’s Tuesday, you know what day it is... Terrific Team Tuesday!🌸

This week, we’re celebrating the beautiful Catherine 💛

Catherine is such a shining light at GG’s. She brings a calm, caring energy wherever she goes and is such a lovely friend to everyone around her. She is also always up for a silly and goofy time, bringing lots of fun and laughter to the team.

She always has a good story to share, especially when it comes to all the mischievous things her dog gets up to! She’s also a bit of a MasterChef and loves making delicious meals, and of course, showing us the photos after.

Outside of GG’s, Catherine volunteers at ACT Barks and Recreation where all the puppies absolutely love her. And honestly, that says everything you need to know about Catherine’s gentle and kind nature 🐶

We love Catherine’s warmth, her stories, and the beautiful energy she brings to the GG’s family 💐

Disability support workers!
We’re looking for the cream of the crop, dynamic and flexible disability support workers in Canberra.
🌸 Full time (38 hours) , part time (24 hours) and casual (minimum 24 hours a week)
🌸 in your role, you will be supporting people with a disability to maintain meaningful employment whilst also juggling their every day lives which can include house work, leading an active lifestyle and a blooming social life.
🌸 no two days are ever the same - from doing flower deliveries, attending doctors appointments, and going nightclubbing…your day can always vary!

What you need:
🌺 WWVP
🌺 Drivers licence
🌺 Car and comprehensive insurance for your car
🌺 Current First aid and CPR
🌺 At least one year experience as a disability support work or transferable skill industry
🌺 Availability of a minimum of 24 hours

We are located in Farrer at the Farrer shops and have clients all around the ACT (but mainly in the south of Canberra).

It’s Tuesday so that means it's ....Terrific Team Tuesday! 🌸

This week, we’re celebrating the wonderful Luca 💛

Luca brings so much enthusiasm to GG’s and is always looking for ways to improve the business, the florist, and the way we do things. He came in with a natural eye for design, and it’s been so lovely watching him use his floristry accreditation to create beautiful posies for the shop.

One of our favourite things is that Luca doesn’t just make the posies -he gives them beautiful names too, which makes them feel even more special.

Luca has really grown during his time at GG’s and has flourished in so many ways. He is hardworking, creative, thoughtful, and always happy to give things a go.

We’re so proud of Luca and so lucky to have him as part of the GG’s family 💐

It’s Tuesday, you know what day it is... Terrific Team Tuesday! 🌸

This week, we’re celebrating the very loved Ally 💛

Ally is such a bright and bubbly part of the GG’s family. Although, with how much she talks about the Prime Minister, you’d be forgiven for thinking she worked for Albo himself!

A few years ago, Ally was our Employee of the Year, but she definitely isn’t backing down anytime soon. She’s always working hard, helping out, and doing her best to earn that trophy back.

Ally is also the master of keeping her house s***k and span, a Bridge to Bridge enthusiast, and a big lover of the gym. She brings that same energy and determination into GG’s every week.

Whether it’s a big job, a small job, or anything in between, Ally is always happy to help and give it a go- she'll be sure to make sure you know how many jobs she got done that day. We love her work ethic, her personality, and the joy she brings to the team.

This week, we’re celebrating the wonderful Michael 💛

Michael is incredibly vivacious and brings such a bright, vibrant energy to GG’s. We’ve honestly never met someone who can do the shredding quite as meticulously as Michael, he takes the job very seriously, and we love him for it!

He is also an absolute star on deliveries. Michael brings so much warmth and personality wherever he goes, and we get such lovely feedback about the amazing deliveries he does.

Michael has been a consistent and very much loved member of GG’s. He’s a jobs board warrior, a hard worker, and such an amazing all-round friend to everyone around him.

We’re so lucky to have Michael as part of the GG’s family 💐

This week, we’re celebrating our little pocket rocket, Katie 💛

Katie is an absolute super worker. She has this impressive ability to somehow get one million things done in a day, and still be ready to help with the next job. She always brings a go-getter attitude and gives everything a red-hot go.

Katie is also a friend to everyone. Whether she’s playing Uno, having a chat, or teaming up with others to get the jobs board finished, she brings kindness, fun, and great energy to the room.

And honestly, in another life, Katie was definitely a stretching cat; always having a big stretch and somehow making it part of the workday routine 🐈‍⬛

We love Katie’s energy, her hard work, and the way she makes GG’s a brighter place to be. We’re so lucky to have her as part of the GG’s family 💐

This week, we’re nominating the one and only Jonno 💛

Jonno is just an all-round super cool dude. He gives the most awesome fist bumps, has the best laugh, and brings such a fun energy wherever he goes. He’s always dressed to the nines and never misses a chance to have a good chat or a bit of banter.

One of the best things about Jonno is what an amazing friend he is. He doesn’t just talk ; he really listens, asks follow-up questions, and is always an important member of any group he joins!

At GG’s, Jonno never says no to a job. He’s hardworking, adaptable, and always up for a challenge. Whether he’s helping around the shop or heading out on deliveries, Jonno gets stuck in and gives it his best. Honestly, he’s an absolute king on deliveries 👑

We love Jonno’s infectious smile, his laughter, and the way he makes GG’s a brighter place to be. We’re so lucky to have him as part of the GG’s family
