**ANNOUNCEMENT**
The Free Community Book Exchange that we run up at the Share Place on Saturday afternoons, is changing to a NEW TIME of Saturday mornings from 10AM until 12PM, effective from TODAY until the 28th of JUNE. Perhaps this will mean that you can make it up to visit us if you haven't been able to make it up before 💛 and apologies if this means that you won't be able to make it if you have been one of our regular afternoon visitors ðŸ˜
Satterley had advised us 2 weeks ago that they were reopening as a Sales Office from 31st May on the afternoons on the weekends (and Wednesday afternoons) which would effect our regular booking (along with other groups on Sundays), and they offered to move us to the mornings, which worked well for us and so all our bookings were changed.
However just this week, Satterley has reneged on their offer and are now closing to community bookings from 1st July All Day Wednesdays, and All Day on the Saturdays and Sundays, leaving us & other groups no where to go. They have advised that even though their sales office will only actually be open from 12/1pm until 5pm, they will be blocking off the whole day. I have begged, pleaded, and even cried during the calls through frustration, to no avail. I followed their suggestion of contacting the City of Wanneroo for other community spaces, however they are at capacity for regular bookings at all of their surrounding locations in the northern corridor.
I have a few other avenues I am going to try and see if take shape, however at this stage, we will be open in the mornings from 10am until 12pm including June 28th which will be our last day. Please come and grab any number of books if you have been wanting to find new books, new authors, or complete collections.
