Meet The Producer! Next up in our meet the producer series is the amazing – aka Lucy and Xavier Bizot who have created a brand of wines that is clearly a mark above the rest. We asked Xavier a few quick-fire questions… and he delivered 🍷
1. What’s your go-to drink right now (+ why)? Latest disgorging of DAOSA Natural Reserve 8th Release because we are disgorging it now and it is delicious, will be released in February 2026, watch this space!
2. Tell us about your latest drop – what makes it special? The 2023 Fumé Blanc and the 2023 red claret blends are unique because they are exactly what the modern Australian wine drinker is looking for: fruit expression and elegance.
3. Describe your wine/beer/spirit style in 3 words. Australian, French and anything in between.
4. If your signature wine had a theme song, what would it be? What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.
5. What’s something exciting happening in your vineyard/winery/distillery this season? We are in the middle of our winter jobs: pruning in the vineyards and disgorging at the winery.
6. Underrated grape or varietal we should all be drinking more of? It has to be Cabernet Franc!
7. Where’s your dream place to drink your own wine (real or imaginary)? At home.
8. Finish this sentence: We love Regions because they are local, they are nice, and they are great supporters of our local wines!
