The NSW Government has introduced a new rebate initiative to support sheep and goat producers, along with livestock agents, in purchasing electronic identification (eID) equipment.
What this means for you:

• Eligible applicants can receive 50% of the cost back, up to $1,500, when they purchase a handheld eID reader (you must have proof of purchase prior to applying).

• Rebate payments will be GST exclusive. However, the payment may still be considered income.

Applications close 31st August 2026.
