Yesterday I was at our local pool, feeding my 7 month old. I was in shorts and rash top, although what I was wearing is largely irrelevant. A woman walked by and gave me the biggest death stare I've ever seen then loudly exclaimed to her husband that I was breastfeeding: oh heaven forbid!
Ive breastfed for a total of almost 2 years accumulatively and I've never had a bad experience, and yet this incident shook me. I was more covered than 90% of the women in that pool, and yet I was made to feel shame, for doing something my body was designed to do. It was 45 degrees and my baby was thirsty.
Please be kind. To all the other mummy's out there you're not alone, and you should never be made to feel bad for feeding your baby! It's your legal right so #keepboobin
