Scoobs 'n' Lishy Bright, practical and affordable items for babies and beyond I have been keen on crafting for as long as I can remember.

Hi, I'm Karen and I'm a work-at-home Mum of three lovely little (and not so little!) people - boys aged 19 and 10, and a 7 year old girl. I started Scoobs 'n' Lishy whilst on maternity leave with my middle child, six months later I joyfully quit my so-called 'real' job and I've never looked back! I spent countless hours of my childhood at my grandmother's house, knitting, painting and making cloth

es for my barbie dolls. It was Grandma who taught me how to sew, and encouraged me further by giving me a sewing machine for my 21st birthday (six months early because she knew how much I'd love it and just couldn't wait!)
My aim with Scoobs 'n' Lishy is to create bright, practical and affordable baby products. My range has come a long way from the basic bibs I started making as gifts for friends, and I've always got plenty of new ideas that I can barely wait to get started on - if only I had a few more hours in the day! People often ask where my business name came from. The simple answer is that Scoobs and Lishy are my boys' nicknames, although they are not names we use so much anymore. My business is older than my daughter so she missed out, but my Cheeky Lass range of hair accessories is named in her honour.

If someone told me when I started this business 9 years ago that I would one day be making and selling embroidered fridge magnets I don't think I would have believed them, but here we are 🤷‍♀️

These quirky little messages are a fun addition to any fridge/dishwasher/magnetic surface. They are sustainably handmade (more on that later) and one of a kind, making them the perfect unique gift for that impossible-to-buy-for person who has everything.

This collection is available now for the introductory price of $30 each. As an extra Christmas bonus I'll include standard postage within Australia, because who doesn't love

Check out this amazing hairtie order 😍

I’ve had quite a few orders lately for science hairties, this one wiped out the last of my stock. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make more until my supplier reopens ( ) but I do still have some very cool non-science hairties available! I’ll be sharing photos sometime soon, let me know if you’d like a sneak peek first 😊

Well, it’s been awhile but here’s a sneaky little look at what I’ve been up to….these magnets are currently exhibited as part of Mudfest (check out the virtual gallery now, it’s pretty cool- https://hubs.mozilla.com/rbPkLfV/mudfest-home/ ), buuuuut they are also indicative of a new direction for Scoobs ‘n’ Lishy.
I’ll explain it more later, but for now I’m just giving you all a heads up that after 9 years (yes, 9!!!) I am ready to move away from baby products and into something that challenges and excites me more.

Fun times ahead! And seriously, take a look at the gallery. You get your own little avatar and you can talk to people and stuff, it’s fun but also super easy 🤩
