Drumroll please... our bestselling book of all time, from our opening in 2010 to June 2023, was Scott Pape's 'The Barefoot Investor'!

Published first in 2016, this has become a cult favourite for those wanting to take control of their finances. This book has also spawned into different versions for families and most recently a best selling kids version!

Today is our final day of trade at Berkelouw Cronulla. Feel free to drop in to say goodbye to our beautiful store and our staff. Thank you for supporting our bookstore for 13 years, we hope to see you sometime, somewhere, in the future. All of our love, Berkelouw ❤️

We are down to only two left in our official Berkelouw all time bestsellers! Before we reveal our number one best selling book of all time tomorrow on our final day of trade, we have number two as well as some honourable mentions!

'The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck' is our bestseller in self development for a reason. It is a radical approach to encourage readers to stop trying to be 'positive' all the time in order to actually become happy. Bold and pulling no punches, this is a must read for self development fans.

We would also like to highlight some honourable mentions on our bestseller list. Paul Gallen's 'Heart and Soul' came in at number 14 on our best sellers list, and Bruce Watt's 'The Shire' at number 53. These are both local authors who have written some powerful and amazing stories which have clearly been well-loved by our Shire community.

At number 4 we have a repeat appearance from Bluey! 'Bluey The Beach' has been a star of Berkelouw for some time now, and a firm favourite with our customers! This pick is a fun tale inspired by the television episode where Bluey and her family head to the beach!

Following on at number three, we have the award-winning 'Before the Coffee Gets Cold'. This easy yet charming read will warm you just like a cup of coffee, with three beautiful stories from the time-travelling cafe that will make you laugh and cry.

Welcome back to our Berkelouw bestseller countdown, where we are now hitting our 5th and 6th bestsellers! Today's two bestsellers are some absolute must-reads that our staff have recommended over and over.

At number 6, we have 'The Happiest Man on Earth', by Eddie Jaku. This is a heart-breaking yet hopeful memoir of Jaku's experiences in a concentration camp in WWII, and how despite this traumatic past he managed to find happiness and joy.

Berkelouw book lovers, we have decided to stay open another week, with our new closure date now Sunday 11th of June! The weekend is here, and we are celebrating our amazing Berkelouw community! Berkelouw has had many amazing team members since our opening in 2010- people who have all worked to make the store an amazing and welcoming experience.
