IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM COASTAL HOBBIES
Firstly, I would like to apologise for being out of action since December :(
I would also like to thank everyone for their patience & understanding - It has been a very hard time for me and I can promise you that I wanted to be making sales far more than others wanted me to be making sales (I have made no sale since the start of December)
A brief explanation of what caused my problems is:
1. In December my computer crashed, and I paid Hervey Norman to setup a new computer and to migrate all of my data over to the new computer. They managed to lose all of my data and also delete it all from the cloud storage, meaning that I was unable to recover my data. Fortunately, I had a backup of my business data on a USB drive, but it was only up until mid-November.
After that date, I have lost records of all sales and purchases, all new stock items, all new customer details, all customer and supplier invoices and all payments made and received. To fix this issue, it will take time to get it back on track, but I will get there.
2. I commenced a relocation to new warehouse in early December which was meant to be fully NBN ready. Unfortunately, the NBN had made some errors, and I have only just been connected to the internet as at 6pm last night. I was constantly given excuses and promises all of which didn’t come through. If I had of known it would take so long, I would have made some alternate temporary arrangements but, I kept getting promises after promises that it would be rectified very quickly, which it wasn’t ☹
All this combined has hurt my business big time and caused me to let down my loyal and valued customers, I apologise profusely for this and I can assure you that I feel terrible about what has happened over the last few months.
I have spent a lot of money relocating and setting up the new warehouse and have had no sales during that entire period. I am hoping to make it up to everyone as quickly as possible, but I request everyone still be patient as I work through replying to the many messages that I have waiting and try to get everyone’s orders out to them.
I will be replying to messages from oldest to newest so I would like to highlight that anyone sending a new message will push their messages to the “newest” messages and could cause greater delay in getting a reply.

I have tried to keep this as brief as possible but I felt that I needed to provide everyone with an explanation of what has occurred and why it may have appeared that I was either ignoring people, gone out of business or anything else that people may have been speculating. None of which is true.
I look forward to getting back on track, helping my valued customers and providing the service that I have always been known to provide.
