We would like to advise any families that participated in the Chullora Marketplace Easter Egg hunt over the weekend of Saturday 21 or Sunday 22 March of an Easter Chocolate Egg recall.
We have been advised of one isolated incident at another participating centre in this campaign, where a large piece of plastic was reportedly found inside a solid chocolate egg. Thankfully this piece of plastic was not consumed. The eggs were supplied by a long-standing, reputable Australian distributer, who has advised there have been no other reports or recalls relating to these eggs.
While this remains an isolated incident, we are taking a precautionary approach and strongly advise you dispose of any chocolate eggs received from the hunt if not already consumed. We have no reason to believe for any further safety concerns of the eggs.
The safety of our shoppers remains our highest priority. If you have not consumed the egg and would like a replacement, please return to Centre Management during office hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and we will provide you with a replacement egg sourced from our local Woolworths.
To ensure the Easter Egg Hunt can continue as planned, replacement eggs from our local supermarket Woolworths will be provided for distribution for the remainder of the campaign this weekend.
