Week 1 — Small crack. Phone works fine. Fix cost: ~$89
Week 4 — Crack spreads. Touch stops responding in patches.
Week 8 — Dust and moisture get into the digitiser.
Week 10 — Display starts failing. Now you need an LCD replacement, too.
Cost: $200+

The crack didn't get more expensive because we charged more.
