nd market. The wish list has translated into a solid success story thanks to twice-yearly overseas buying trips, a sharp instinct for predicting seasonal trends, deft editing of collections to suit local tastes and plenty of hands on research.
“To succeed in fashion you must connect with the real world and I listen closely to what women say they really want,” says Eve, who previously spent eight years as national sales manager for a Melbourne accessories firm.
“I’ve found some great talents including a Spanish jewellery designer who does the most stunning hand-painted pieces in natural materials including wood, resin, semi- precious stones, leather and shell.”
Among other winners are Bel-Eve’s hugely popular scarf-necklaces, elegantly embellished featherweight kaftans and currently creating a sensation, a new range of gossamer-fine pure silk scarves embroidered with softest pure wool.
