MYTH: Having a smoke alarm in the hallway is enough.

FACT: Under Queensland's smoke alarm laws, homes must have compliant, interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed in the required locations.

That means:
🏠 In every bedroom
🚪 In hallways connecting bedrooms to the rest of the home
🏡 On every storey, including required exit paths where there are no bedrooms
🔗 Interconnected so that when one alarm sounds, they all sound

⏰ The final compliance deadline is 1 January 2027!
