Blocked, beautiful, and ready for button bands… assuming I don’t have a complete breakdown during the steeking process. Knitters, tell me: does cutting your knitting ever get less terrifying?

My kiruna cardigan from Ellis knitwear is knitting up beautifully if u are looking for some knitting inspiration. I was looking to learn some new techniques and so far I’ve been loving this project. The pattern is easy to memorise which is one of my favourite things.

What hobby helps you escape from stress? 🧶✨ For me, it’s knitting — the kind where everything slows down, your brain goes quiet, and suddenly a pile of yarn turns into something wearable, comforting, and a little bit magical.

There’s something about counting stitches instead of overthinking life that just resets everything. One row at a time, one breath at a time.

Cutting one of the smaller steeks. And it didn’t fall apart. So far I’m winning. This cardigan has been one of my most fun, challenging and scary projects. I can’t wait to wear it. Guess I better keep knitting.

POV: You spend months knitting a cardigan… then willingly take a sewing machine to it. 😅✂️
