I’m closing Miss Biscuit
14 years ago I started Miss Biscuit in my home kitchen in Melbourne. I had no idea what it would become.
Over that time I have set up 5 stores and a classroom studio in Melbourne and Sydney . I taught classes in almost every state. I took Miss Biscuit classes to Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Beirut, Mumbai, New York and London. We won national awards. We became the most comprehensive and the best cake and cookie decorating school in Australia.
Miss Biscuit became a team of incredible women (and men) who took on the business like it was their own. Many of you kept coming back because of the amazing people who loved Miss Biscuit as much as I did. I will be forever grateful for my talented and loyal team.
Over 14 years you showed up for us more than I ever could have imagined. You bought thousands of our Class in a Box when COVID hit. You wrote us so many five star reviews. You booked out our Christmas classes in days. You kept coming back for classes, kept shopping with us, kept emailing us, kept ringing us, kept saying thank you. Thank you! I will be forever grateful for the Miss Biscuit community.
After 14 years, I’ve made the decision to close Miss Biscuit. Our last day of trade will be Tuesday June 30.
This industry has changed enormously. Retail is rapidly changing. I’d rather close something I love in a positive way than watch it become something it was never meant to be. I’m leaving proud, grateful and on my own terms after the most extraordinary ride of my life.
For the next 11 weeks everything must go. Nothing will be restocked.
