I had an awesome day on Saturday sharing some leather work skills with 35 members of Monto Pony Club at their camp.
It was pretty busy and this is the only photo I took 😹
Everyone was pretty excited to create their own unique cattle tag key ring. We used my extensive collection of stamps, added a touch of colour and an antique to finish.
Lots of fun.

This cute little stock bridle was my last entry in the Ekka and received a second 🥈place.

Made specially for a mini pony using English bridle leather and kangaroo for the padding. All hand stitched at 10 to the inch.

This ladies zip around wallet scored first place in the pictorial carving section of the Ekka.

Golden palomino horse 🐴 cactus 🌵 feathers 💕

Colour is a mix of spirit dye and paint with itty bitty brushes 😹

Needless to say, a lot of time goes into these creations 😜

I have made the inner of this one from Horween horse front. Lots of space for cards, notes and coins.

Outside all hand stitched at 8 to the inch.

The results are in for the Ekka.

This ladies clutch purse was my entry in the hand carved category and received a 2nd 🥈 place.

It features sunflower carving, coloured with spirit dyes. A time consuming intricate process using a no.5 round sable brush.

I have constructed the inner from kangaroo leather. It has 2 pockets for notes, 14 card slots and a zippered coin purse.

This beauty will be available on return from the Ekka.

This series of work was inspired by the beautiful old blue gums where I live.
