The OTT mission is much more than dress ups…

After witnessing the toll COVID took on seniors in aged care while nursing through the pandemic, I promised myself I would help change the narrative — to spotlight the joy, wisdom and deep connections that come from witnessing & listening to our seniors, so we can truly celebrate their lives 🎞️✨

Our Timeless Threads is more than fashion shows and creative workshops. It’s a movement to honour our elders as the wisdom-keepers they are, and to restore the dignity, respect and the visibility they deserve in society 📸

As a registered nurse with almost a decade serving our elderly population, I’ve seen many gaps in aged care — I founded ‘Our Timeless Threads’ to help fill some of these gaps by bringing JOY, AUTONOMY and a SENSE OF IDENTITY to seniors through our preloved clothing pop-up shops and creative workshops 👗✨

In Byron our op shop ‘The OTT Shop’ is powered by a passionate team of volunteers who sort donations with both aged-care needs and community style in mind. Proceeds will fund our vibrant in house shopping experiences and senior-led skill‑sharing sessions that honour our elders 🌟

Next goal: a reliable OTT Shop van! 🚐💕

We are fundraising to bring our pop-ups to even more care homes across the Northern Rivers who have reached out for our services — our personal cars have been truly heroic, but a trusty van means less stress, wider reach, and many more smiles for residents, staff and family members 📸🎉
