Sorry it’s been such a long time between open days. Thanks for your patience and continuing support.

If only I could report that the cowshed’s been closed for renovations. Alas, no. It’s still as shabby chic as ever, and it still houses my little shop, which is full of all sorts of unusual gifts.

On Friday, 1 December—for one day only—The Cowshed Shop will be open between 12pm and 7.30pm.

And, on the same day, for a couple of hours from 5.30pm, Kirsten Deakin and I will be hosting a soirée in the garden to celebrate not only the festive season but also Art at the Cowshed’s first anniversary.

Beautiful artworks from those who’ve attended our term classes and Sunday workshops over the past twelve months will be on display. Expect to find an abundance of astonishing artworks—as well as plenty of great food and wine!

Please come by and toast what’s been a wonderful year—and chat with Kirsten about the classes and workshops, including ones for teens, that will be on offer in 2018.

If you’ve never been to The Cowshed Shop before, here’s the address:

Look at these darling handmade ceramic eggs and crosses that have just arrived in time for Easter. I'm reluctant to part with them… I'll definitely reserve a few for our centrepiece on Easter Sunday.
By the way, they're $15.95 each and come in pink, lemon, blue, green and cream. Let me know if you'd like me to put any aside. I've also received some lovely new quote tags ($14.95) in the same delivery.

If you've ever dreamed of owning an elegant terrace or grand Queenslander, these architectural models, made from 100% sustainable timber, are the next best thing. And, at $49.95 each, they're just a tad less expensive!

Designed and made in Australia (Brisbane, in fact), these new improved models, from Marcus, the clever mind behind the Little Building Co, are easy-peasy to assemble, thanks to peel-and-stick components. See, building a house doesn't have to be stressful!

These beautiful models—which include Surry Hills, Paddington, Regency and Richmond terraces—make a perfect gift for homesick Ausssies living overseas—and what's more, they're inexpensive to send because they come flat-packed.

Let me know if you'd like to pop by and see them for yourself.

Don't forget: if you're keen to take a peek inside the cowshed, you're welcome any time; just message me first.
In the meantime, I just want to let you know that Kirsten Deakin and I have set dates for the Art at the Cowshed classes for the coming months.
Our first one-day workshop is this Sunday, 12 February. We have just one spot left if you'd like to come along. It's $200 for the day, which includes all art supplies and food. The class runs from 9.30am to 4pm.
Here are the dates for autumn (all fall, excuse the pun, on a Sunday): 19 March; 30 April; and 21 May.
One more thing… The eight-week term class, starting tomorrow, sold out in a flash; if you're keen to enrol in next term's class, just message us and we'll add you to our list, which already has several names on it!
You'll find more information about the one-day and term classes on our page: Art at the Cowshed. That's it for now. Maree xx
