Art for Calm: A Mindful Workshop

Relax and unwind in this mindful art workshop as you uncover creative tools to make striking, colourful art that is not only beautiful to look at, but also super calming and enjoyable to create.

Participants will be amazed at how easy it is to create mini full-colour pieces with watercolour pencils, brushes and ink using simple step-by-step instructions. Each piece will be totally unique to the maker, leaving them with tools to create more art after the session.

Guided by artist who is an illustrator and in-demand window artist around Melbourne. Lou is also a highly experienced arts teacher with over twenty-five years of being a teaching artist. Her workshops aims to bring joy and wonder to everyone she meets in her sessions. Lou’s workshops aim to create a safe, reflective and supportive environment that instill confidence in her learners and leave them with new skills - and the inspiration - to explore more on their own.

In this workshop, you’ll design and assemble a one-of-a-kind beaded cord belt and a statement bead cord necklace, the perfect accessory to elevate a simple dress, vintage denim, or an oversized blazer.

Designed with beginners in mind, this hands-on school holiday workshop with is a great way to explore your creativity. You’ll be guided through each step of flower arranging from picking the right vase, to choosing the best flowers, to easy beginner techniques to create a stunning arrangement. There will be lots of fun, unique and colourful vases and flowers to choose from.

Our small class size means you’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask lots of questions and make new friends. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away having made your own unique vase arrangement that will be sure to impress.
