I can spend DAYS at a time packing guitar orders. I aim for the playability and setup to be as close to perfect as possible, then a final clean and polish. When it comes to the final packing, a ridiculous but necessary amount of detail and time goes into my process and technique. The continuous and consistent feedback we receive like this really helps lift my motivation and drives me on. It also helps build confidence with my overseas (and of course local interstate Australian) customers, so you can rest assured that EVERY possible step is taken to see your guitar arrive safe and sound. Shout out and thank you to Tom from the US, it means the world 😊

WHAT A WEEK!
This amazing 1974 Greco SA550 is guitar number 30 sold. This wraps up our first week of our 10% off sale, for 10 weeks, to celebrate our 10th Birthday. To all you amazing Brisbane locals that dropped in, plus the interstate and international legends that purchased online, THANK YOU! There is a whole wall (and floor space) now empty in the showroom. One final change to (mostly) wrap up the String Switch Noise 10th Birthday celebrations, updates, and changes.
As of the 4th August, we will be available to the public for guitar set ups, service, and repairs. This comes after years of being asked, but not having the time to accomodate everyone (only select clients/customers/players). I will be easing into it, and I will not be able to take on EVERY job immediately. I will have some restrictions similar to the past years, so please don’t bombard me with SS refret, custom built/routed bodies and loaded guards, refinish requests etc. I will however be able to take on all set ups, wiring and pickup mods and general repairs. This will be all thanks to our newly organised workshop space, at triple the size (goodbye to the beloved solo work bench of the last 10ish years). The workshop will blend right into the showroom, so you can browse and play gear when you drop off/collect your repaired/serviced/set up instruments. More info to follow in the coming weeks. To all Brisbane customers new and old, thank you for everything!

String Switch Noise Turns 10 !!!
July marks a full decade of tone for our humble guitar store, and we’re celebrating BIG time with a MASSIVE birthday celebration!
We’re incredibly proud to continue offering Brisbane (and the world online) one of the largest ranges of 200-300 used and vintage guitars. And we do all of this in what is locally known as the smallest guitar space in Brisbane. As ordinary as that might sound, it's precisely the heart of our business.
This intimate, private display space allows us to interact with our locals one-on-one. You can drop in and play the exact guitar you saw on our website, or browse and test out any instrument on the walls that catches your curiosity. No pressure, no sales pitches, no expectations, and no judgment of skill level. All are welcome. It’s just one passionate guitar player to another, testing amazing guitars and basses… and more often than not, geeking out over guitar facts and specs.
The last 10 years have flown by, and it’s been an absolute privilege. Everyone—from first-time players and learners to our long-time customers, regular musicians, session players, backline hires, teachers, and touring artists—means the world to us. Without the overwhelming and continued support of this Brisbane community, none of this would be possible.
