How do people truly experience the feeling of joy? We asked the inimitable Brené Brown, PhD, this question and she told us this: They practice gratitude. "I think the best way to think about practicing gratitude is: Are you doing something that is tangible and observable?” She suggested the next time we are experiencing joy whether it be watching your children sleep or embracing a family member, immediately say “I’m so grateful for...” and repeat it over and over again. Brown has adopted this one minute practice into her own routine and it’s changed her life for the better. Tag someone who needs to know this🌼
