The three amigo's 😅
It was great to back out in the bush over the weekend, after a few long months of the big rig being parked up due to swapping out the turbo in my spare time.
This Easter we swapped the mud at Levuka 4x4 Park, for insane winds at Gordon Country, a break in long standing tradition. There wasn't any hectic fourbying, spraying mud or putting on a show for crowds of people, instead this year was purely about spending quality down time with friends and family, and that's exactly what we did.
This photo is of three totally different rigs, owned by three cousins who all have the same passion for the outdoors. As much as I love solo adventuring, there's something special about being out campin with family, and even moreso when those who can't physically camp out, make the effort to come for a day trip to visit.
Easter Sunday this year was spent with 4 generations sitting around a camp fire while everyone caught up, had a laugh and watched the newest generation play and learn for hours on end. The only person missing from the equation being my late father, and Gordon Country having special meaning to me being the last 4x4 tracks he got the opportunity to drive on with me sitting in the passenger seat. I tell you what, climbing those hills in a 80 series is so much more comfortable than his old 60 series, who would have though coils were comfier than leaf springs!
Keep an eye out for some stunning scenery shots over the next few days.
