Coopers Mum and badge-making assistant here.
Recently Cooper donated some badges to the NDIS rally in Brisbane where the disability community, families and allies came together to fight against cuts to the NDIS.
We have much gratitude for each person who has spoken out to protect our NDIS.
Thank you to the legends at Protect Our NDIS Alliance for sending through this photo of some of their team with the incredible Senator Jordon Steele-John. The senator and his colleagues have been relentless in his advocacy for people with disability and our families. Also pictured is Senator Penny Allman-Payne who wore a badge while speaking against the NDIS cuts in the Senate. Good humans doing good work.🙏
Cooper is a person who has benefited enormously from connections and community. From the support of peers, like-minded families, and good people in great organisations that believe in inclusion and the rights of people with disability. We warmly welcome these new connections who share inclusive values and fight for rights for all.
Reminded lately of the Margaret Mead quote - "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
