Life just got a whole lot more confusing for Australian E-Bikers.
New legislation passed overnight that will affect all ebike use in QLD. Adding restrictions to the use of currently “legal” e-bikes, and frustratingly missing action items on tackling the (already) illegal e-devices responsible for so many fatalities.
Thank you to the organisations, business and individuals that advocated so persistently for better changes, especially in our local area.

Part of the BCC Off-Road Cycling Plan.
Nick & Shell met with Alex and other local stakeholders last week to discuss this project.
Sadly this will most likely be a bitumen track but we’re excited to see some BCC budget being allocated to the cycling community locally.
We have expressed our support for a well designed pump track for BIKES (BMX and MTB).
Kudos to Councillor Alex Givney for her persistence in getting this project prioritised.
If you can spare a few minutes it’d be great to show Brisbane City Council just how many voting members are cyclists on this side of the River.
Maybe they might even spare some of the “millions” usually spent at Gap Creek to fund trails locally.

We are gathering insights from women in Brisbane’s CBD and southern suburbs about bike riding — whether you ride every day, occasionally, or not at all right now.

We want to better understand:

• what helps women feel confident riding
• what gets in the way
• what would make bike riding safer, easier or more appealing

Your experiences will help us advocate for safer streets and better cycling conditions for women in our part of Brisbane — which benefits everyone.
