Please give my country-mens wooden artifacts a look at https://traditionalcraft.com.au 🖤💛❤️
……………………………

We are a group of proud Arrernte men from Ltyentye Apurte and the founders of the Ltyentye Apurte Traditional Craft Centre.

We started the Traditional Craft centre (Tcc) because we were witnessing our culture and traditions being lost. The skills that we are revitalising skipped our fathers generation. We learnt and honed these skills directly from our grandparents.

We are proud to have started using these traditional skills once again and are sharing our knowledge with the next generation.

You can support us by purchasing our handmade traditional craft. Plz visit our page/ website for more details. Or if you want to see;touch and feel plz visit our workshop at Santa Teresa which is 80 kms from Alice Springs. We are there Mon to Fri 9:00 am -4:00 pm.

Purchases made on this website go to directly supporting artists, their families and the community allowing them to pass on this knowledge to future generations.

Werte! 🤎

It’s not often I post myself on here, but I thought it was time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Cassa, an Arrernte woman from Central Australia and the woman behind Eye Of Thee.

I started Eye Of Thee just over four years ago while pregnant with my first child. What began as a creative outlet and a small idea has grown alongside me through some of the most transformative years of my life.

In that time, I’ve experienced motherhood, miscarriage, a traumatic third pregnancy that included four months of hospitalised bed rest, the premature arrival of our baby and a long NICU stay. More recently, we made the decision to move back home to Country to help care for my mum and our beautiful matriarch, who passed peacefully a few months ago.

There have been seasons where Eye Of Thee has had to slow down, sit quietly in the background, or simply move at the pace life allowed.

But it never left me.

If anything, these years have given the business a deeper sense of purpose.

Building Eye Of Thee through so much change has taught me resilience, patience and the importance of creating something that feels true to who I am. It has reminded me that strength doesn’t always look like pushing forward. Sometimes it’s adapting, sometimes it’s resting, and sometimes it’s finding your way back when the time is right.

Eye Of Thee has grown with me, shaped by culture, Country, family, motherhood, loss, love and everything in between.

And I feel like I’m entering a new chapter now.

I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built over these past four years, often amongst circumstances I could never have planned for. There’s a renewed energy behind Eye Of Thee, and I’m excited to share more of the story, the process and what I’ve been quietly creating.

To everyone who has supported Eye Of Thee, whether you’ve been here from the beginning or have only recently found my work…thank you.

It means more than you know.

Here’s to what comes next. 🤎
