& will always be a safe space for baby loss, grief, and bereavement support. While being so open and honest about our daughter Whittaker and our life after loss, this new chapter for our family has felt more difficult to share with this precious community..

Late last year, we safely welcomed Whittaker’s little sister, Berkley, into the world.
It has been a bittersweet blessing to witness her growth over the past few months.

Sharing our joy and news of Berkley is not just about celebrating her existence, but also about honoring the memory of her big sister Whittaker. She is a reminder that joy can coexist with sorrow, and Berkley will forever grow up knowing all about her big sister Whittaker and the profound impact she has made on many.

I know the sting this news may bring to some and we send all our strength and hope to those waiting with empty arms and open hearts xx

This Sunday is Bereaved Fathers Day and next Sunday is Fathers Day.

All too often, dads are kept in the shadows. Sometimes by choice but a lot of the time by society. Are they ok with that? I wouldn’t be. This post is a small reflection of that.. a little bit late to the build up of 2 significant Sunday’s ahead but is Whittaker’s daddy fussed? Not at all ha.

It’s true, men and women are such different creatures. We deal with things so differently, process things so differently and cope with things so different. But as parents, we can still be on the same page. I’ve found that is the vital key to getting through this trauma together-and having clear, honest lines of communication.

Within our home it goes without saying that Whittaker’s daddy is the rock of our family. I love the relationship Ryan has with our daughter. Every night, he places Whittaker’s ashes in her night time bed on my bedside table. He has socks with his baby girls face on them and he wears his palm tree button up shirt whenever he needs that extra push to get out of bed some mornings.

He’s the kind of girl dad that wouldn’t hesitate wearing matching tutus with his daughter or dressing up as a princess for her birthday. He’d proudly wear nail polish to his client meetings and model patiently for a 3 year olds make up tutorials. Ryan would try to keep up alongside her first bike ride and calmly be the one to take our girl out for her first driving lessons. He’d have the best advice on boys-only after her 30th birthday though and no boy would ever be good enough for our girl.

My heart breaks knowing he won’t have any of these moments with Whittaker. Moments we talked about and envisioned together.

Every day I am grateful for the father of my daughter. Every day he is honoured and cherished as the wonderful parent he is.

For Whittaker’s daddy and all the other incredible daddy’s facing Father’s Day without their babies in their arms, you are so loved and appreciated.

We see you 🤍
