Here's five key things our loyal customer base values about us...
1. Most certainly, we need to source some stock in from other specialised, hand picked and trusted growers from time to time but the overwhelming majority of stock that we sell is grown right here in Central Victoria at our farms in Harcourt, Elphinstone and Junortoun. So what does this mean for you? Well, it dramatically increases
the chances of your plant stock surviving. Our plants haven't been grown in a hot house under false climatic conditions or force fed quickly to get them to sale but rather exposed and hardened to the sometimes harsh local conditions of frost and hot dry weather so when planted out it will give you every chance of success.
2. Range and volume. We generally have around 650 different lines available at any one time but by mass producing our own plant stock, we can also provide good volumes when you need. If we don't have it on display, it generally only takes a couple of days and we can have the 20, 50 or 100 plus plants brought back from the farm ready to go. This is all subject to a line not being sold out first of course.
3. We are here to help our customers. We are not in the business of making our customers feel like they have been sold to or forced into something they don't want or need. Rather we have a genuine interest and care for our customers whereby we provided a realistic plant selection to help minimise the chance of losses. Without doubt; when dealing with a perishable product it takes work and a little bit of knowledge and we take great pride in being able to help you with that.
4. Our retail team is supported by 80 plus years of growing experience. That's right - having started growing plants back in 1985 and having multiple family members involved in growing over its journey, our team is well informed of what it takes to grow great plants.
5. We don't have 'sales' every week claiming to have the cheapest plants (many of our customers already know this!) but rather place greater emphasis on growing great quality plants at affordable prices all year round.
