Oh my goodness gracious, what a turnout for our first-ever collab last night!

When the wonderful Ari from Mix 'N Matcha approached me at the end of last week, she was worried that no tickets would sell and lo and behold, tickets were sold!
If anyone attended the event last night and unwrapped a book that they ALREADY HAVE or HAVE ALREADY READ, feel free to drop by and swap it for a different blind book.

We are hoping to run a similar event next month, and this time we might be looking at doing it on a weekend to accommodate you goblins who work weekdays and can't get off.

Whilst we have a full Street Library shelf inside, have you spotted our cutesy little Street Library box in the doorway?

This is my sneaky attempt to drag people into the store, but it's also just there for those walking by to, perhaps, find a new favourite read to pass the time.

I quite often shuffle the Street Libraries around and add new stock to the inside and the outside one, so it's always worth having a look when you come by!

Much like our inside shelf, you can absolutely add books to the box, and maybe they will find a new owner.

Psst, there's also a box of chalk on the table for you to decorate the footpath with. Everyone was so creative over Easter, I would love to see the street covered in colours again.

P.S We're open tomorrow! Woah, crazy right? And Intereach Book Club is on from 12pm to 2pm as well!

NEW MONTH, NEW WINDOWS!! AND IT'S PRIDE MONTH!

Remember, read q***r books and authors ALL YEAR ROUND, not just for one month or one day.

BOTH of our windows are filled with just a handful of some of the fabulous q***r reads in our store, and there are so many more worlds, characters and adventures that you can dive into by browsing our shelves.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE Q***R BOOK/AUTHOR?
My faves at the moment are definitely Tj Klune, Sonido Reyes and Casey McQuiston. They are all instant buys for me.

BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK!

Are you stuck wandering around the shop trying to decide between too many fabulous options? Well, do I have the solution for you!

Perfect for yourself or a gift for a loved one, a Blind Date With a Book simply has Three(3) tags about what sort of themes and vibes are in the story. Isn't that so much easier than reading a full back blurb?

Our Young Adult blind books are underneath the Graphic Novel shelf and the Junior Fiction blind books are on the little shelf next to the main Junior Fiction with the colouring and activity books.

AND, I plan to take a large pile of these Blind Books to Secrets in the Pages in September, as well as the other merchandise and books too.

WHAT'S ON AT WOODLAND COLLECTION IN JUNE?

Books, obviously, books are always on at Woodland Collection, and I'm always on for a yap about your favourite, or least favourite, books!

INTEREACH BOOK CLUB - Saturday 13th June 12pm to 2pm. Whilst this one is usually the first Saturday of the month, I will be closing shop on Saturday for a side quest so this month's session will be pushed to next week. JUNE'S BOOK IS 'THE ASSASSIN'S BLADE' by SARAH J. MAAS.

POP UP PLAYGROUP - Saturday 27th June 10:30am to 12pm. We're planning on doing playgroup on the last Saturday of each month. JUNE'S BOOK AND ACTIVITY IS 'THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR'

WOODLAND BOOK CLUB - EVERY Wednesday Afternoon from 3:30pm to 5pm. A reminder that Woodland Book Club is open to anyone and everyone and it is also a chill-out afternoon. JUNE'S BOOK IS 'SHADY HOLLOW' BY JUNEAU BLACK. (or feel free to read and discuss your own too!)
