Nrglife Home Fragrances

Nrglife Home Fragrances Hand-poured in Queensland. 100% soy & coconut blend. No paraffin. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. Nrglife since 2020. 🌿 No outsourcing to China. That hasn't changed.

Every product made by me β€” candles, room sprays, diffusers & body care. I hand-pour every Nrglife product in my home workshop in Beachmere, Queensland β€” candles, room and linen sprays, reed diffusers, wax melts, and body care β€” using a 100% pure soy and coconut blend, eco bases. No shortcuts on the formula. "The truth about what is actually in Australian candles β€” no brand is educating customers a

bout the fact that there is no legal soy percentage standard in Australia, and misleading blends are common" I use the full blend of 95% soy & coconut, every time β€” plus a 5% vegetable-based hardener to handle Queensland's summers. Every product is batch tested before it goes anywhere near a customer, properly labelled, and packed by me. I started Nrglife in 2020 with one belief: what we bring into our homes should work in harmony with the earth, not against it. If you want home fragrance that actually does what it says β€” neutralises odours rather than just masking them, burns correctly, and lasts β€” you're in the right place. Nrglife since 2020. Hand-poured in Queensland. By Raquel. 🌿

Following on from Part 1 β€” if your jar or your wall has already gone grey, here's how to bring it back without making it worse.

Start dry. Always. Soot is greasy, and the moment you reach for a wet cloth you smear it into a grey film that's harder to shift.

On the jar: wait until the candle is completely cool, then lift the soot off with a dry paper towel first. Only then go in with warm soapy water, a little white vinegar, or a dab of rubbing alcohol for anything stubborn.

On a wall or ceiling: this is the one people get wrong. Don't reach for a wet cloth. Use a dry cleaning sponge β€” sometimes sold as a "soot sponge" β€” wipe gently in one direction, top to bottom, and lift the soot off rather than scrubbing it in. Only go in damp once you've lifted the loose soot, and test a small hidden patch first.

A clean-burning candle means you'll rarely have to do any of this. But now you know β€” and you know it wasn't something you did wrong.

I've put the full guide, including how to stop soot before it ever starts, on the website: https://nrglife.com.au/blogs/a-simple-guide/black-soot-on-candles 🌿

Fathers Day | Inspired by One Million. For the younger guy who actually likes a bit of fragrance, this is my pick.

The One Million For Him Duo is Coconut Body Wash plus its matching 10ml cologne β€” patchouli, mint and leather. Bold, warm, and a little bit fun without trying too hard. Same hand-blended formula I use across the whole range, boxed and ready to give.

Want to add to it? You can add a Car Air Freshener to the box too β€” a separate item in his own choice of eight scents, for the car.

Made in small batches here in Queensland, with a care card in every box. πŸ•―οΈ

For Him | Fathers Day. If the man you're buying for comes home smelling like a hard day's work, this is the one I'd reach for.

The Alpha Male For Him Duo pairs my Coconut Body Wash with its matching 10ml cologne β€” jasmine, clove bud, oak wood and sandalwood. The body wash suds up about three times more than a regular one and actually neutralises odour rather than covering it. It's the scent the tradies pick first.

Want a little extra? You can add a Car Air Freshener to the box too β€” that's a separate item in his own choice of eight scents, for the car or the shed.

Hand-poured and hand-blended by me here in Queensland, boxed with a care card, ready for Father's Day. πŸ•―οΈ

Most people think soot is just what candles do. You light it, the glass goes grey, the wall above the shelf picks up a smudge, and you assume that's the price of a candle in the room.

It isn't.

A candle that's made and burned properly shouldn't blacken its jar or mark your ceiling. When one does, it's usually telling you something about the candle β€” not about anything you did.

Here's the part most people don't know: there's no governing body for candle-making in Australia. No enforced standard for what actually goes in the jar on the shelf. That gap is where soot comes from β€” cheap paraffin wax, too much fragrance crammed in past what the wax can hold, or an untrimmed wick pulling up more fuel than the flame can burn.

It's exactly why I pour a coconut soy wax with only the tested fragrance load it's designed to carry, and batch-test every product before it reaches you.

Part 2 later this week: how to clean soot off your jar and walls without smearing it into a worse stain. πŸ•―οΈ

The smallest layer with the biggest impact? A room spray by the front door. πŸšͺ

One spritz up the hallway before anyone arrives, and your whole home greets them before you do.

That's scent layering β€” using more than one format together so your home has depth, not one flat note. There's genuinely no wrong way to do it. Match your scents room to room, or contrast them. Both are correct.

I've written the full guide (and how to pick what's right for your home) on the blog. Link in comments.

Have you every wondered how long you should do your first burn. It can be difficult to work out as there are so many variations and size of candles. Here's my Tip from the Workbench: Measure the top circumference of your candle in inches and for every inch, you burn the candle for one hour. So for example my Lush Musk Signature Candle (see photo) is 3 inches wide, so the first burn should be for 3 hours.

There's no wrong or right way to layer scent in your home.🌺
Layering just means using more than one format together together β€” a candle in the living room, a Reed Diffuser in the hall, a Room Spray for a quick reset before guests arrive. It gives your home depth instead of one flat note.

It comes down to two things:
β†’ Suitability (match the format to the room)
β†’ Personal style (match your scents, or contrast them β€” both are right)

That's it. No rulebook. Just your home, your way.

100% essential oil" sounds pure. But here's what no one in my industry will tell you πŸ‘‡
Natural tells you where a scent came from β€” not whether it's safe. Many popular essential oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender & citrus) are toxic to cats and dogs, even diffused.
And in a candle? Essential oils burn off before they ever fill your room β€” that gorgeous scent disappears up the flame.

I wrote the honest version on the blog. Link in comments.

Just like Annette, who has ordered two of our Candle Sample Packs. She is being smart by purchasing and trying before she buys. Here's the deal: Your $15 sample pack pays for itself if you fall in love. Order a full-size Natural candle within 30 days of receiving your samples and your $15 is credited back off the full-size candle. I'll email you a personal one-time code (valid 30 days) a few days after your sample pack arrives β€” so you only pay full price for a scent your body has already said yes to. If you want to see how this can work for you read our 9 Scent Guide (link in comments).

It takes around 600 pounds of rose petals to make ONE ounce of rose oil. 🌹

Sandalwood? Harvested close to extinction.

So when a candle promises "pure essential oil" sandalwood at a normal price… something doesn't add up. Either it's barely there, or a forest paid for it.

The real eco story is the opposite of what most people think β€” and I break the whole thing down on the blog. Link in comments.
