In support of Starlight Day this year, we would like to share the story of Zai.

Zai is a curious, energetic kid who loves learning and exploring the world. At just seven years old, he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, beginning a long and challenging journey through treatment. During his time in hospital, the Starlight Children’s Foundation brought moments of joy, laughter and connection when he needed it most, helping Zai and his family find light in some of their darkest days.
 
At Jaycar, we believe small moments can make a big difference. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Starlight Children’s Foundation – an incredible organisation that has been bringing happiness to seriously ill children for over 35 years.
 
Starlight helps children like Zai experience joy during long hospital stays through play, entertainment, and connection programs that bring light to difficult times.
 
Together, we’re proud to support Starlight in delivering life-changing moments of happiness to children in hospitals across Australia.
