Book Week for All in Armidale Mall

For those who DO love Halloween - there are at least TWO things happening in the area next Thursday!
headspace Armidale are organising Halloween in the Mall and Charlie's House of Oddities have a haunted house in Guyra!
Both events are looking to be amazingly spooky, fun and filled with sugary treats!

So, Book Week didn't happen this year, but Halloween IS happening! headspace Armidale has taken over the organising of it from council and are working hard to bring us something fun!
When: 4-8pm Thursday the 31st of October
Where: Armidale Mall
They are still open for stall applications, so if you're interested get in touch with them!

headspace Armidale is excited to announce that our Youth Reference Group have taken over the reins of the 2024 Halloween celebrations, and are ready to ensure a fun filled event for all community!

and we're looking for stalls and vendors!

we're looking for:
- market stalls selling goods
- food and drink vendors
- activity stalls for all young and old (thinking face paint, arts and crafts)
- and games (mini putt putt, lawn games)

To everyone that's been asking - unfortunately Book Week in the Mall won't be happening this year. Sadly, council were unable to sponsor it this year and I tried to find other sponsors, but it wasn't possible.
Thank you for being so excited that you had to message and for loving books so much! Maybe next year!

It's me again! Your annoying, but friendly person who tries to organise things to happen in the Mall!
This time Fairy Simone, Armidale and surrounds and I are bringing you a mini version of the Autumn Festival on the 20th of April (only 10 days away — eek!).
If you want a stall, message either one of us ASAP. Priority will be given to those who were booked in for the Autumn Festival. No food stalls at this stage, sorry!

What do Get Framed Armidale & The Gallery , Raw Fibre , New Englad Contemporary Print Gallery, The Clique Curation JJ'S Newsagency Plus and Granny Fi's Toy Cupboard have in common?
Well, other than the fact that they're all locally run and operated businesses - they're all staying open until at least 6pm every Thursday until Christmas! Also, the Barney Street Band will be in the Mall this afternoon/evening to liven it all up a bit!
So if you need to do some almost-last-minute Christmas shopping, head to town this afternoon and support our wonderful, independent shops!

Pre-dinner/after work shopping! We all know that actual late night stuff doesn't happen, so some of the local shops have come together to stay open slightly later! They'll be open until at least 6pm.

What a great night! As you can see we didn't get a chance to get out of the shop much, but the parts that we DID see looked awesome!
Thank you Armidale Regional Council for putting on such a wonderful event (and for my sneak preview of the Haunted House). And thank you to EVERYONE who got involved - all the shops and businesses with their great windows and trick-or-treating, the stall holders, and the people who came to town and enjoyed themselves. It really felt like the community came together and had fun.

Today is the day! I assume that was a tornado in the middle of the night dropping off some wicked witches for Halloween (and rather a lot of hail!).
Come down to the Mall from 4pm for trick-or-treating, a haunted house, vote in the window display competition and have some spooky, slightly chilly fun!

It's Halloween in the Mall eve! And it's lovely and cool and raining! Don't worry, the rain is meant to ease off by midday tomorrow according to the internet! However, dress up warmly (witches, wizards and superheroes all love their cloaks and capes!) because it's meant to be quite cool and Halloweenish in temperature.
Don't forget to vote for your favourite window display when you come down tomorrow and have a bucket/bag/pocket ready for any treats you may get!
Halloween kicks off at 4pm with trick-or-treating, there will be food stalls and a scary grotto, music and so much more!
